Online Course - Successful Beekeeping

A course for beginning and experienced beekeepers. Meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm (Central), starting February 11, 2025 and ending November 11, 2025. You will need to also register for the course (if you have not already done so) by clicking HERE.

This course will cover all the information that you would need to have a successful first year of beekeeping, but also address content geared toward more experienced beekeepers working through issues in your hives and time-saving tips and tricks as you grow your apiary. We will look at basic bee biology, equipment options, attaining bees, making honey, pests/pathogens/parasites, wintering successfully, the hive mind, the instincts of honeybees and many many techniques to become a better keeper of bees and also the tactics to increase not just success but production and efficiency as well.

Enrollment in this course qualifies you for invites to all open yard learning days hosted by Lance Honey Farms (NOT Nebraska Beekeepers Association open yard learning days) throughout the season.
